Rina Quinn’s Paleo Snacks for On-the-Go Energy

For Rina Quinn, life doesn’t slow down. Between juggling her job in marketing, two energetic kids, and weekend hiking trips, she needed fuel that was both convenient and clean. The problem? Most grab-and-go snacks were full of refined sugars or processed grains—two things her paleo lifestyle doesn’t allow.

“I was tired of reading labels and finding ingredients I couldn’t pronounce,” Rina says. “So I decided to start making my own snacks that gave me real energy without the crash.” What started as a way to feed herself turned into a whole food adventure, full of nut butters, dried fruits, and inventive combinations.

Her go-to snack? A handful of homemade trail mix—almonds, dried cherries, coconut flakes, and a sprinkle of cinnamon. “It hits all the right notes—salty, sweet, and satisfying,” she says. She also makes no-bake energy bites with almond flour, cacao nibs, and honey, which she stores in the freezer for busy mornings.

The key, Rina explains, is finding that perfect balance between protein, healthy fats, and natural sugars. “If I just eat fruit, I get hungry again in an hour,” she says. “But pair it with nuts or a boiled egg, and I’m good until my next meal.”

She also keeps paleo-friendly bars in her bag, along with sliced veggies and individual packs of almond butter. “It’s not about being perfect—it’s about being prepared,” she adds. Having healthy snacks on hand keeps her from making rushed decisions when hunger hits.

What Rina loves most is how these snacks make her feel. “I don’t get that sluggish dip in energy anymore. I feel steady, like my body is working with me, not against me.” And the best part? Her kids have started reaching for the same snacks, too.

Living paleo on-the-go takes planning, but Rina insists it’s worth it. “I’ve never felt stronger or more clear-headed,” she says. “And that’s not something you get from a vending machine.”
