Kaia Quinn’s Low-Carb Vegan Snacks to Keep You Full

Clean eating was nothing new to Kaia Quinn. She had tried everything as a longtime vegan, from superfood smoothies to raw food resets.

However, she ran into a roadblock when she shifted to a plant-based, low-carb lifestyle. She chuckles, “I was always hungry.”

Unwilling to give up, Kaia threw herself into her kitchen, using it as a laboratory. She experimented with foods like hemp seeds, nut butters, and tofu that provided both protein and good fats.

It was trial and error at first. She eventually found combinations that not only satiated her hunger but also gave her energy for hours on end, even though some of her creations didn’t quite work out.

A favorite of hers? A simple chia pudding with almond butter that she could make the night before. Roasted edamame topped with smoked paprika and sea salt is another favorite. But for Kaia, it was about reestablishing her snacking habits more than it was about the food.

“Learning to eat proactively was the biggest lesson,” she says. “I began preparing for hunger instead of responding to it.” Kaia now fuels herself with plant-based, intelligent snacks that work rather than reaching for empty carbohydrates.

What about her energy? “Stable,” she smiles. “No collisions. No desires. A little more equilibrium in my day, please.
