Hollie Greer’s 5 Clean-Eating Hacks for Every Kitchen

According to Hollie Greer, only those with elegant kitchens and lots of time could afford to eat cleanly.

She laughs, “I imagined someone with perfect glass jar alignment and a refrigerator full of pre-cut vegetables.”

Over time, Hollie discovered, though, that clean eating is more about making little decisions that simplify rather than about appearances.

Her “hacks” were simply clever; they lacked elegance. She started freezing leftovers in portions, stopped overcomplicating meals, and turned towards straightforward combinations like beans and rice, roasted vegetables and grains, or fruit with nuts.

One of her particular favourites is Eating twice, cooking once. She says, “I do a whole tray and use them for salads or breakfast bowls later if I’m roasting sweet potatoes for dinner.”

Hollie is cool with her kitchen still not being perfect. “It’s not about being Pinterest-worthy,” she comments. “It is about feeling nourished and making food work for real life.”
